Valley Partnership is made up of 9 volunteer Committees where members work together on the business of our organization.  Only members are allowed to participate in Committees, which provide a more intimate setting for business development and networking.  It is also the place to effect real change and gain a more in-depth knowledge of industry issues.

Descriptions of each Committee are listed below.  To sign up for more information and meeting notices, click on the "Manage Profile' link on the top of this page and look for the Groups area.  Committee meetings are listed in the Events section of this website - you never have to RSVP - simply show up and get involved!

COMMITTEES


CITY/COUNTY COMMITTEE

The Valley Partnership City/County Committee focuses on local and regional activities affecting the commercial, industrial and master planned community real estate development industry. Comprised of public and private sector partners, the committee works to establish a constructive exchange between partners and local jurisdictions. The Committee meets every other month. 

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Communications Committee is focused on effective and strategic communication of Valley Partnership events, accomplishments and opportunities for partners with the organization. The Committee meets monthly to discuss digital communication, print media and use of social media.

COMMUNITY PROJECT COMMITTEE

Utilizing the skills, efforts and supplies provided by our partners to renovate and enhance facilities for children and those in need. To date, Valley Partnership and its partners have completed 28 community projects and donated over $3 million in time, materials and labor to the community. 
 

EVENTS COMMITTEE

The Valley Partnership Events Committee plans programming, organizes and executes events including the monthly Friday Morning Breakfast, quarterly Happy Hour, and the annual Holiday Wreath Raffle.  There is great opportunity to influence event programs and content and the Committee meets monthly.  

FEDERAL ISSUES COMMITTEE

The Valley Partnership Federal Issues Committee is designed to monitor, evaluate and recommend support or opposition to Federal legislation, rules, and other agency actions that either encourage or harm the real estate development industry in the Valley. There is an emphasis on the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Endangered Species Act , regulatory permitting, financial regulations and tax policy. The goal is to engage the members of the Arizona Congressional delegation to recognize Valley Partnership as a responsible representative of our industry. The Committee meets monthly.  

GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE

The Valley Partnership Golf Tournament Committee organizes and hosts Valley Partnership's annual Golf Tournament. Planning for the 2016 Tournament started this fall and we expect another highly entertaining and successful golf outing. See the Events section of the web site for more information. The Committee meets monthly from September through April to plan this fundraiser.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The Valley Partnership Membership Committee identifies and contacts prospective new partners to encourage and educate them regarding the benefits of membership in Valley Partnership. The Committee is also engaged in the retention and involvement of existing partners.  This Committee offers extensive business development opportunities as it involves outreach to existing and prospective partners.  The Committee meets monthly.  


STATE LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

The Valley Partnership State Legislative Committee provides direction to the organization regarding activities at the State Legislature. Along with the Board of Directors, the State Legislative Committee establishes Valley Partnership's position on industry-related bills and lobbies to promote its position.  This Committee meets bi-weekly only during the State legislative session. 


VALLEY PARTNERSHIP POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE (VPAC)

VPAC is a strategic fundraising political action committee launched to raise money for campaign contributions to local and state level political candidates who are supportive of the real estate development industry.

During the election cycle, VPAC makes targeted contributions to key elected officials who set policy for how we do business in Arizona. The city council members and state legislators who VPAC supports, act to promote positive policy at the local level and positive legislation in the session and, as important, defeat policies and bills harmful to development.
